Reading the thread below, I just had to post Beasley Street.
I had curry with him and other friends in Huddersfield after a gig one night....funny, funny man and great company!

I think this is one of the greatest poems by an Englishman and it's criminally underrated by the custodians of culture. I love JCC and can see how he might slip under their radar with some of his lesser stuff, but in "Beasley Street" he crosses the line into true literary genius. Perhaps a few too many uncomfortable truths in there.

I just googled to find a different version of Beasley street I thought I remembered - I didn't find it but found this version played in the whistle test, so listened to that instead - I couldn't tell if it was John not saying it, or if it was edited out by the engineer, but the words 'Keith Joseph' were missing (it was from 1980).

Yes the BBC censored it; I think it was on the Old Grey Whistle Test. All BBC radio stations also censored it:

If memory serves me right, Suspended Sentence was mixed/produced by Martin Hannett, that said, probably Clark's best record - his hatred for The Sun is palpable:
