Given the reference to Eliot, perhaps another word beginning with 'P' and ending in 'tious'.

You might say 'piffle' or 'pish' or even 'de Pfeffel'.

I couldn't possibly comment.

I reckon his speech writer likel thought that a minor coup. I seriously doubt Keeves has ever read a poem in his life.
