Don't know, I'm filling my I-pod and only have 1,000 tunes so far. TG just popped into my mind so I'm I'm open to suggestions.

-Might seem quite commonplace now but nobody was really doing that kind of stuff at the time.

Think I might still have that album/soundtrack up the loft in one of the redundant cob-webbed boxes of the past.

I liked them. Recall wild drives in the mountains with their music blasting in my 4WD before they were introduced to London (the vehicles that is). WTF .. are they training for WW3? Grrr ..

And you're a bit of a nerd like me, maybe you'll like this doc about modular synths ('I dream of wires') - no tangerine dream in it, but a bit of silver apples and some of the other pioneers (this is my field though, so ymmv)

I could never afford the hardware - certainly not in that era - I learned my first synthesis on a crusty mate's SH101. The software synth (and cracks) era fit my budget better. Now I teach it and could afford more hardware, but I still only have a couple of bits (I've made my own modular synths in software though) - The euro rack stuff has been tempting, but I've deliberately held back as I could see how addictive it gets from some of my mates (euro-crack they call it) - plus i just like the digital world (and it's synthesis methods)

Nice.
I lived on baked beans for a year, then purchased a few (four) pieces that are now classics. I had so little money left over after one of them that I had to carry it from Shaftesbury Ave across the tube and on the mainline train them up from the station. The box was as big as me. It was worth it though and they were never nicked.

Yeah..big time....Rubicon, Thief, Force Majeure (anything really), for something much more classically avant garde their first album Phaedra..
