The last time they let EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell open his gob he waxed lyrically on how Europe was "...a garden" and the rest of the world by contrast was "...a jungle"..."...and the jungle could invade the garden"... now he's giving the "Jungle Bunnies" his latest reflections. In a speech to Latin American officials he declaimed:
"Like the conquistadors, we must invent a new world..."
I'm sure that most of them know full well that European colonisation: those "conquistadors"... built that "new world" by exterminating most of the indigenous population.
What they didn't know but do now is that the Europeans still think it was "...a good idea" and worthy of emulation. -I'm sure they are all getting the message loud and clear.
One doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. The 'infection' of Thatcherism hasn't just destroyed most of what made living in Britain... tollerable; it's spread into Europe as well. How on earth did thess truly ghastly people ever manage to rise to positions of such power and influence? The lot of them have to be swept away, one way or another, if there is going to be any hope for Europe, going forward. We need a Revolution, somehow. Maybe the coming catastrophe of being defeated by Russia will be the catalyst.
