Pretty shocking treatment of Assange revealed here along with the rest of the neoliberal stoogery. Should be embarrassing in light of Goodman's involvement in the Belmash tribunal. Blumenthal's right, they should make a public apology.

Goodman has blackballed Norman Finkelstein, and given endless airtime to the conspiracist Russiagater Marcie Wheeler, and treated Maria Ressa as a hero.

With the odd exception, it's been dismal for a long time now.

This time, I thought Goodman did the right thing. I noticed some softening in her hard-line liberal thinking, and thought we have a jackpot. Thanks for dissuading me guys. It was a close call .. (why me?)

As Max and Aaron say in that clip, Democracy Now! used to be really worth watching. I think it still is, on occasion, but I pretty much stopped watching in disgust at seeing ####ing Marcy Wheeler on seemingly once a week during the height of the Russiagate hysteria, and Masha Gessen, and Adam Schiff, and Ro Khanna, and all the rest of those Democratic Party mediocrities pretending to be serious.

Democracy Now was good when it challenged the dogmas of the ghastly Republicans and their endless wars and invasions, not to speak of their horrible domestic policies.

However, things changed dramatically after Trump's success electorally. They became closely allied with the Democratic Party, because they were against Trump. Democracy Now has become far too close to the Democrats.

Certainly one to avoid if you have any principles, its put down of Assange was beyond the pale, the hypocrisy stinks.
