Thank God for Ben Norton - NATOstan gone mad, War is Peace

Great to see the German Green's promote war and no doubt nuclear oblivion - maybe that's their plan to save the planet.
Conversely, great to see the UK Green Party pushing for the UK to join the EU, that's the neoliberal, wanton warmongering EU epitomised by the German Greens.
Apart from TUSC, all major UK political entities are in love with NATO, open war with China and Russia - maybe the UK, having blown Brexit, should rejoin the shitshow and ensure the planet is destroyed by white supremicists based in NATOstan, Australia, Japan and New Zealand.
Anyhow, here's Ben putting the record straight and at least the genuine German Left get it:
Re: Thank God for Ben Norton - NATOstan gone mad, War is Peace
Norton's right, of course. For the US it's always been about preventing Eurasian economic integration because of its threat to US hegemony.
Certainly, in the short to medium term, the US has succeeded in driving a wedge between Germany and Russia. But, at the same time, has pushed Russia and China closer.
That Germany seems willing to risk economic suicide to serve US interests is a wonder to behold.
The problem is vassalage to the US through NATO. It hardly matters if that's from within the EU or without.
Brexit was a total waste of time and effort, divisive and a diversion. As an example of British hubris, it has soured relations with our fellow Europeans, made trade a lot more difficult and it looks like a bonfire of derived protections is on the cards.
Neoliberalism on steroids.
Re: Thank God for Ben Norton - NATOstan gone mad, War is Peace
The German political class, virtually across the board, typified by the Green Party - which used to be thought of as anti-war, anti-NATO, anti-Capitalst - is now, firmly yoked to the Washington wagon. It's only fringe parties on the left and right that are allowed a modicum of wriggle room.
That the German elite is prepared to willingly go along with their own economic castration for the benefit of a foreign power, is quite extraordinary.
