It's really quite disturbing to see how these people are determined to turn the conflict in Ukraine into an existential battle for the 'soul' of Europe. They're basically raising the banners for a new crusade against the barbarian, slavic, foe.

I think to describe it 'slavic foe' is inadequate and misleading. This is specifically a Russophobic entity. It's about dismantling Russia and getting at the resources.
From the composition of the MEP delegates you will find that exactly 50% are MEPs are from slavic countries with Polish MEP delegates at 25%, being the main actors in this charade.
In other words, it ticks the boxes of Russophobic Poland. The other mixed bag of slavs at 25% and 50% of others (I haven't counted the Balts specifically : )) are there for the ride. I suspect it may be, just maybe, NED whispering in their ears
