Such sticklers for due process...a shining example for the world. I'm sure on completion of his 20 years in jail plus torture he will be singing the praises of liberal democracy.

'Saudi Arabia — the country from which most of the 9/11 hijackers came — long has had facilities for detaining and rehabilitating extremists.'

...and funding them obviously.

I wonder if Florida also has a yachting school where you can learn to launch a successful attack on underwater energy infrastructure..

Are they trying to lure Saudis back into the fold?

Saudi National Bank (SNB), which said it would not be able to stump up more cash because of regulatory restrictions limiting its holding to below 10%.

That shows that Saudis can't stump up the dosh due to restrictions

. So the question still remains, why are they releasing that guy? ..

Maybe with Russians, pandemics and maga white supremacists in place, the security state have a new propaganda framework in which to place their favoured policies. Perhaps they feel the time has come to wind up the war on terror, and tie up some loose ends.

I'm sure crazy arab bombers will still be part of the landscape, but perhaps now without the terrifying secret global network..who knows?
