I thought the commentator was relatively informed with the latest, and pointing to the current times. Perhaps he was just reminding MoA audience that not all was well in NZ + AUKUS.

There's a reason that Australia is scoffingly dismissed as "the Lackey Country."

We're slightly less pathetic than Australia. At least we banned nuclear ships from our ports. Australia's Labor prime minister Bob Hawke sneered at us for that.
