Good to see charitable donations to OXFAM being utilised to keep idiots and scientifically pig ignorant in useless employment, meanwhile the World burns and poor starve:

One of the obvious things he doesn't refer to in his wonderful rant against Oxfam, is the cost of actually producing this shitty and ridiculous pamphlet, money and time that could have been used so much more productively to actually help people in distress.
That the 'left' are increasingly identified with this rubbish and stupidity, their 'wokeness' and obsessions about controlling language, twisted into a giant throbbing hemorrhoid in their middle class unisex panties...is a ####ing disaster.
I think this was a justified rant and I personally enjoyed, together with his recent rant against the SNP.
What really annoys this poster though is why at a time of decreasing charity donations caused by continuing economic crisis the Charity decides to waste money on meaningless drivel, unless you have a PhD in Literature from a top US University that indulges in this crap.
Further, I used to have a soft spot for OXFAM and its genuine good deeds globally, but the increase in expenditure for top management, whilst its high street shops rely on volunteers manning the stores is vomit inducing.
To be blunt, if you are starving in an African nation as a result of war/famine I don't believe the recipients of aid give a toss about anything contained within the new guidance, hence why its an absolute waste of declining funding - just means a few kids have now starved to death or died of disease so Liberal Fascists in the West can feel good about themselves. That Sir is the true cost of this meaningless, virtue signaling crap. No doubt the Kinnock Clan et al will clap and smile though.
the problem is that this guy - funny as he may be- identifies oxfam as being '"left"
When it's nothing more than a Liberal status quo maintaining fig leaf for fascism.
It's not left.
Which means that the comedian himself has been persuaded that left wing is Liberal nutjobbery rather than a set of principles and an understanding of power relations which could infact help him.

Aid agencies' staff tend to see the world as a blank canvas upon which their fantasies can be writ
For a number of years I worked in one of the UK's leading aid agencies. Almost all of the staff are drawn from the affluent middle classes, I never met anyone from a working class background. Does this matter? I think it does because it produces people with a similar world view and similar limitations.
Staff generally are sincere in their desire to improve life for those in the developing world but they tend to see these countries as blank canvasses upon which they can paint or draw their own beliefs of what an ideal society looks like. Hence the emphasis on gender and sexuality. Similarly, religious belief plays little or no part in their lives and they are genuinely baffled when they encounter people for whom it is important.
Many have studied 'international development' at university level but none, generally, have ever actually run any business enterprise, nary so much as a successful whelk stall. They rarely understand that what academia declares *should* be an outcome of given actions doesn't always hold true in the real world.
Like so much in our society, many charities need scrapping. We should be much more rigorous in examining what, exactly, they are achieving and at what cost.
