Yes, its a fact, loads of tears all over my FB and Twitter accounts, me I laughed.
Any, Keith has sent a Motion to the NEC, which is seconded, barring JC standing as a Labour MP in Islington, the motion, all over Twitter, is highly vindictive, he's being Barred because if he stands as a MP again it will ruin Labour's chances of winning the GE (That's the meat) No mention of AS or anything else - so, a new precedent for the Party, if you lose a GE you are banned from standing again come next GE. Basically, Keith was too much of a coward just to expel him, so is using fun and games. Usual gushing of tears from the 'stupid' Labour Left, evidently they did not understand that the removal of the Whip by Keith mean't he would never again be endorsed to run - the sheeple believed the CLP chose, rather strange given the realities, i.e., imposed GE candidates everywhere, seems like they don't read the press or understand the internal machinations of the Party. Me, well, having spend 5 years in Leicester East CLP under the authoritarian boot of Valarie Vaz ( Keith Vaz's sister) surprised soft left members are shocked.

'Soft' is an appropriate label for much of the Labour 'left', as in a bit 'soft' in the head. They seem to be 'lying low', adopting a 'pragmatic' approach until the next election, where the priority, of course, is getting the Tories out. Even if that means replacing one set of Tories with another set of Tories, but of a marginally different hue of blue! If that means, for the good of the Party, that they sacrifice Corbyn, well, that's a price they are willing to pay.

The old passive voice comes out to play; Starmer is merely "confirming" that Corbyn "will not stand" as if the decision was made by Corbyn. Sounds better than "Starmer moves to stop Corbyn running".

Jeremy Corbyn will not stand as a Labour MP at the next general election, Keir Starmer will confirm at Tuesday’s national executive committee (NEC) meeting after he vowed to prove the party had changed under his leadership.

The Labour leader will propose a motion that makes it clear the party’s ruling body will not endorse Corbyn as a Labour candidate for the Westminster election expected next year.

Starmer first confirmed the move last month as he marked an “important moment” for Labour after the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) lifted the party out of special measures over its past failings on antisemitism.

Only the third paragraph and they mention antisemitism and how it's all a thing of the past, you know, like Corbyn. Nice dog whistle.

Much like the massively exaggerated infestation of 'anitsemitism' in the Labour Part as a whole, which was used by the party's establishment to undermine and weaken Corbyn, even if this meant letting the Tories in again; the right are pretending that Corbyn's mere existance as an MP, could prove fatal to Labour's election prospects in key marginals.

Corbyn will find himself both isolated and alone, facing the resources of the Labour Party determined to destroy him regardless of the cost. He, in contrast, won't have many friends and he won't go on the offensive, which means explaining why he's being targetted and the fact that the party has been captured by what amounts to another Tory faction, pretending to be Labour. So, ideologically he'll be fighting with one arm tied behind his back. Once again he'll be out of his depth, because he lacks both intellectual and rhetorical qualities. It's a bit late for him to suddenly realize what he's up against and take action, if he didn't understand and act when he was leader.
