Agree. Nice thread with chronological record of Putin's statements, from my quick scan. I remember Ritter exhorting all to read what they (USSR/RF) publicly state rather than speculate. Good dictum.

I remember reading Roberts' essay ..

I tried to find out who funds this Journal of military and strategic studies, but no luck. Any idea?
