Berletic (at the end) .. it's kicking the can down the road [the west]. Impressive interview.

Problem is that half the the world is being "attrited" by it. And all wars involve attrition..

..and it's almost always the case that those who initiate or precipitate a war or invasion believe the job will be done and dusted in short order - a few weeks, a month, six weeks max.

Ego, machismo and rage undermine clear judgement and fuel the belief/delusion that the enemy will be shocked and awed into submission in no time.

Putin clearly likewise massively misjudged and underestimated the challenge..
