Posted by Jonathan Cook, an interview between Joe Rogan and Dave Smith, showing that all along there have been people within the US ruling elite who have been opposed to the US NATO expansion towards Russia and have understood the dangers. Hopefully one day there will be an analysis of the US ruling class and the different forces within it, their positions – and why. Why some elements within the the US have wanted to set West/Central Asia on fire, why they are pushing for war with Russia and China.

There are always 'factions' and differences of opinion in ruling elites and Washington is no exception. Things get worse in periods of 'stress' when things are clearly not going to 'plan'. The US of course is now in the grip of a 'cultural civil war' which tends to exaggerate things.
