played in Libya's destruction.

response to speak of, no comebacks at all for pollies - as Cook quotes David Owen it was sealed with the message that “We have proved in Libya that intervention can still work.” - and then just not reported on at all.

then just dribs and drabs. never with any link to what huge destruction, suffering and killing US-NATO caused.

so not surprising pig-fcker Cameron is unscathed. there never was any sizeable outrage because it was 'a wrap' done and dusted before Qs could be voiced.

David Owen was probably really referring as an in-joke to the ability of the establishment to pull wool over the public's eyes with R2P.

Yes i remember them keeping in line.
And also refusing at many points to challenge US backing Al Qaeda in Syria. Which still needs to come out.

There was one group pushing for STWC to oppose the war against Libya (and Syria). STWC expelled them. At the next AGM, they demanded the right to defend themselves, have their say. The AGM refused. The chair of the AGM was - - Jeremy Corbyn.

British eyes seeing the mess, the lies, the carnage, bringing stories home, leaking to the press or anyone who would listen. Information management red alert.

Libya was the prototypical proxy war that excited the establishment so much they are still in “surely this gameplan works, we just need to try a bit harder” mode.

I think it was the speed of the operation - the prop and the preparations - that the Libya regime change happened with and then the banishing of negative reports to obscure websites that wrapped it up without question, comebacks or doubts.

Yes - they will def repeat. On Venezuela?

I think they regret not going into Syria. Maybe that will be reignited.
