He’s tough and he’s in the right, but this must be really difficult for him. So much respect to him for his unwavering support for justice for Palestinians in the face of these ongoing ugly accusations.

...otherwise these false a/s claims are never going to go away, and go from strength to strength until kids are pledging allegiance to Israel at morning assembly. They need to worry every time they throw these libels around that there might be consequences for them, otherwise where's the disincentive? Kindof hoped Waters might be the one to go on the offensive, though he has done plenty already...

They keep escalating the attacks on him. Maybe he will get to the point where he throws down the gauntlet. Altho I don't blame him or anyone for not willingly entering into a court case.

The stupid Nazi honouring in the Canadian House of Commons has given a big boost to the Israel supporters in this country and no doubt elsewhere by giving them something legitimate to complain about all over the media. I haven't actually heard them bring Israel into it in any of the interviews I've heard but it's giving them a lot of air time. Just deserts for such a blunder.

Would be good if he does, I think. He wouldn't be short of support if needed - probably about 1/2 of the labour party membership for starters, even after all the expulsions.

Interesting that the zionists are complaining about an actual nazi for a change - I half expected them to keep quiet or even support the government on this. Maybe they'll start noticing all the nazis in Ukraine now as well and pressure the govt to stop arming them??

I don't think the Cdn gov't is expecting support from anywhere for this screw up. The silver lining is that it's educational for everyone, reminds people that Russia fought against the Nazis in WWII, and shines light on current day Nazi ideology supporters and promoters while bringing the evil that was done by their heroes back into focus. That challenges so many mainstream beliefs and policies esp. about the Ukraine war so maybe it will break through and have an impact on policy.
