New low from the BBC: 'Israel-Gaza: Londoner loses 42 family members'

A masterclass in use of the passive voice and avoidance of naming the perpetrator. For all we know from this shoddy piece the 'bomb strike' was another Hamas misfire after all those hospitals they've been haplessly destroying. What a farce, what an insult. H/t Kernow Damo, who comments: 'Where did she lose them then, down the back of the sofa?'
A Palestinian woman who lost 42 relatives in a Gaza bomb strike has said she wants to bring her surviving loved ones to safety in London.
Khitam Attaallah Elian, from west London, was told more than half of her relatives had been killed in the middle of the night when her sister's home was destroyed.
Her sister-in-law, two nieces and nephew survived.
Mrs Attaallah Elian has now flown to Egypt to help as much as she can.
'I started screaming'
Recalling the night she was told of their deaths in the bombing on 21 November, Mrs Attaallah Elian told the BBC: "My daughter came to my room and turned on the light. She said, 'Mama, Aunt Ayah's house has been bombed'.
"I couldn't understand the news and started screaming. My daughter and husband tried to calm me down and I was asking, 'All of them? All of them?'"
Her family were among the first to leave their homes in Gaza since the outbreak of the most recent Israel-Gaza conflict.
They moved to her sister's house in the Al- Nuseirat area of central Gaza. One last hug
She said: "Forty-two of my close family - including my parents, my brothers and sisters, their children and grandchildren - all of them when they were peacefully asleep, suddenly gone."
Although she is grieving the loss of many of her family, Mrs Attaallah Elian said she is now focused on bringing her surviving relatives to the UK, because she is a resident here.
She said she has contacted a lawyer and was "trying to put in a request to the British government but they don't have foreign passports so they can't get out".
Speaking to the BBC from Egypt, Mrs Attaallah Elian added that if there was ever peace in the future, she wanted to say goodbye to her family properly.
"I also want to go to Gaza once the war ends, even for a couple of days, to see where my family is buried and where their graves are; to give them a last hug."Tell your story; Ask a question; Interpret generously http://storybythethroat.wordpress.com/tell-ask-listen/

And, as genocide is committed in Gaza, with the support of all the major parties represented in Westminster; not a single Labour MP has the moral courage to condemn this mass violation of virtually every human rights principle.
They, the 'left' in Parliament are cowed and cowards too. One would think they would be queuing up to denounced Keir Starmer for his appalling policies, his shamful silence about the atrocities unleashed against a helpless people in Gaza, but no, they remain dutiful and silent, with a touching loyalty to their executioner in chief.
One would imagine, that some Labour opportunist MP, from the nominal 'left' would seize the moment, identify the 'market' and speak out for the millions of UK Muslims that are absolutely appalled by the complicity of the Labour Party in supporting genocide in Gaza.
Some of those 'leftie' MPs already have their MP's pensions secured, easily more than enough to live on, so why do they remain so silent, so complicit? Surely it can't be because of their (non-existant) principles? What about the fundamental principle of not supporting of acquiescing to genocide? I don't remember hearing about that one!
On a side note, I'm personally dreading Christmas. So many of the younger memembers of the family work in the media these days, journalists. I don't know how I'm going to manage to keep my mouth shut. I really feel like they've joined the Nazi Party to further their careers. My wife has already warned me not to spoil Christmas for everyone. I think about what... 'Christmas' is gonna be like in Gaza. All those kids killed, maimed, burnt alive, and we worry about our fucking careers! I think I might have to say I've got Covid again and call in a sicky. Only then I'd be following the lead of those horrible Labour MPs.

Liarbour is not and never has been a left partei. There used to be a few "left" MPs in it but they have been purges or cowed into silence by having their mouths filled with money. The last working-class hero in England.
