I, like so many others, share his heartbreak, frustration and disgust. What a dark time. If Israel can do this to the Palestinians and also to Iran,Syria and Lebanon, anyone can do these things to anyone.

Here's one of the UK's brightest ascendant stars in the UK's diplomatic corps, and he was, at one time tipped for great things, such as Ambassador to the US, reduced as I am, a mere ordinary, as we all are, to a frustrated and despairing impotence whilst those others, the heartless, cynical, venal, and corrupt, strut their awfulnesses around the planet and play politics, sometimes with words, sometimes with guns, with all the other awfulnesses that we allow to rule us.
I don't know when or how it'll happen but one day before too long the blind will open their eyes and the deaf turn their ears and say in unison - enough is enough, and they will act on it too. It may be something truly heartening, but it may be something truly terrifying but either way it will bring our present history to its knees, begging forgiveness .
