This only applies to direct foreign government ownership...not foreign individuals, and of course the patriotic British press & owners are mostly registered overseas in various tax havens. DMC is administered /registered in Jersey/ Bermuda?...and still controlled by Rothermere...reported as " British" but born in France ("domicile of birth")..his father was also domicile resident in France.

The third biggie: Reach ( Trinity Mirror group) does at least appear to be registered in the UK and pay UK taxes concerning which " The Group aims to maintain an open dialogue with HMRC... " Hmmm... Dunno the domicile status of its major shareholders.
