"outside agitators" at Columbia are pro-Israeli groups

I think it was on Sky News this afternoon that a commentator (or it might have been an interviewee)explicitly named pro-Israeli group as "outside agitators" entering the campus and attacking and throwing fireworks at the peaceful pro-Palestine encampment as the cause of the violence.
It will be interesting to see how the corporate media in the UK frames this story -- as blaming the pro-Palestinians or the pro-Israelis. Don't hold your breath.
Of course if you're Julia Hartley-Brewer on GB News we already know. The other day she was urging a police crackdown on the pro-Palestinian marches in London -- she might have referred to them as "mobs" or a similar epithet.
As I mentioned before, Talk TV is now available only on your phone, no longer transmitted on your TV set. Let's hope GB News isn't far behind.

BBC and Channel 4 tv news both talking of "clashes" (nm)
Police continue to gather on Dickson Plaza in UCLA. The plaza is the site of the main protest camp and was also the location in which violent clashes erupted less than 24 hours ago.
Those pesky "clashes" just "erupting". How about "where the peacefeul student demonstration was attacked by pro-Israel thugs, armed with fireworks and bats"? Bit more accurate.

Fascism is winning. The huge numbers of protesters aren't there; how many would be enough? The truth-telling reaching the masses isn't there. Huge respect to staff and students putting their bodies on the line.

It really is. I'm as guilty as anyone of throwing the F word around but the last six months have really shown the US up for what it really is. When all the mainstream-fed are asking, "Wait, what is this? This is what we condemn in other countries as fascism." then you hope that something might spark widespread organisation and change but I'm never optimistic.
And then I read Twitter threads (not the most reliable barometer it has to be said) and there's a seemingly endless parade of boot-licker loving what the pigs are doing and wishing it was more violent and had happened sooner and wanking on about "Marxists" and "Hamas sympathisers" and you think, meh, it's not gonna happen. ...no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party...So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.
