Interesting observation about Jeffrey Sachs, who as we know, assisted Yeltsin and Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union with economic advice. Now Sachs is something of a hero of many, including me, in regard to his wisdom and humanity about Ukraine and Gaza for instance .But Ritter blames Sachs for allowing or encourage the Rusian's to stop pay old age pensions, the relate of which he claims a million old people were murdered by the Russian mafia. This is at 1 hour 11 mins 30 secs. Interesting, I don't know the truth and Sachs isn't there to defend himself. . It seems an exaggerated claim, but for the moment I'm in the middle of bread making and haven't had time to explore further.
Yes, I've clocked that. All I can recall from various talks that Sachs made is that he wasn't allowed to make the same economic policies he helped institute in Poland.
As to the claim regarding pensioners being killed by mafia, I find that puzzling.
