Producer of a ridiculous number of classic albums (Pod – The Breeders, Atomiser – Big Black,Surfer Rosa – Pixies, Seamonsters - The Wedding Present and on and on and on )and the best ever at recording "noise".

...no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party...So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.

His producing credits really are nuts; reading obits and seeing records I'd forgotten he'd done.
