Intellectual prerequisites? In the arts? Ummm….of course, its entirely subjective :-):-) Seriously.

I would say the most important qualification for his position would be the demonstrated ability to be oppressive. Once you show that characteristic, they will begin to warm to you, and the word “leader” will start to appear. I am not being cynical, its honestly the case.

More often than not, in the school of Social Sciences, I believe.
