Hearing Noam Chomsky's health has deteriorated to the point it now prevents him from writing, commenting or participating in the public domain.
The various noises coming from people in the know sounds like he's getting near to the end of his race. That's going to be some heavy day ...no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party...So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.
Love his analysis of how media as it exists serves the ruling class. But never read or heard of his suggested model of a functioning media system that keeps tyranny at bay - anyone please?
