Leaders condemn Russian missile attacks that killed 36 people across Ukraine
Western and UN leaders have condemned a daylight Russian missile barrage that hit Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital, leaving an unknown number trapped under the rubble, as strikes across the country killed 36 people in one of the deadliest attacks this year.
A clearer demonstration of worthy and unworthy victims you will not find. Unreal......no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party...So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.
Someone on Martyanov or Moon of Alabama claims that you see film of the hospital then destroyed buildings which aren't hospital premises but others nearby. Don't know the truth of it....The last working-class hero in England.

It's the same old .. Ukr anti-missile defence, Patriot and the like has caused the havoc. Conveniently blamed on Russkies.

Well,in truth, it is Russia's fault. If they hadn't sent their own missiles, then there'd have been no need for Ukraine to misfire one into their own hospital - if that is actually what has happened, and surely it's just as easy to suggest Russia's own missile was misdirected, and whilst Russia will be blamed for "deliberately " targeting innocent children, and the hypocrisy will be on a megaton level, I personally don't believe this.
There's should be no moral relativity here and the argument is of no interest to all those dead children and their families. There are now many tens of dead children as a result of a war between two combatant side, Russia and the West via Ukraine's proxy. All are guilty.
And this is why the futility of war is never more apparent, because rather than sane calls on our side that this violence must stop, all the rhetoric is bellicose and angry, and we commit ourselves to arm and fund Ukraine "AS LONG AS IT TAKES"
Jens Stoltenberg, the secretary general of Nato, said last month. “We must maintain this level of support as a minimum, and for as long as it takes.”
I want to scream when I hear this absurd and constantly repeated mantra. What the F.... does it mean, and why is this empty, hollow meaningless and actually incredibly dangerous phrase never challenged in the media by anyone? I mean, wouldn't it be simple to challenge anyone uttering this "Exactly what do you mean by "as long as it takes" what is the end point you must be referring to - the last standing Ukrainian, defeat, stalemate, winning (and what does that mean) or WW3 and nuclear armageddon?" Society cannot function if logic itself is disregarded as a working principle.

The only moral relativity, in my view, is the fact that Ukr air defences were responsible for the deaths of people, and that Russians are being blamed for it. Just facts. In any case, we do know that Ukr attacks on Belgorod and Donetsk for that matter, are deliberately aimed at civilians. Russians are very careful and concentrate on military infrastructure, very much unlike western shock and awe destruction of civilian infrastructure and civilian targets during western forever wars. Equating the two approaches is a cynical neglect of the facts. Just sayin'.

You're allowed to say, but those children would still be alive if Russia hadn't fired missiles in that general direction - just saying' - of course if "as long as it takes" continues over the next decade, then perhaps they're fated to die anyway as fodder for continued warfare,

Also considering the fact that it was an ancient NASAM, or such missile, that 'collided' with the hospital.
I haven't noticed as much indignation about attack on hospitals from your good self in case of Gaza hospitals, although I may have missed that, admittedly. Chalk and cheese, so to speak.
There is so much evidence that this was a US missile that hit the hospital, it is overwhelming, considering the state of fog of war. One can hide, I guess, and make moral judgements to ones content hehe.

They are at it again today; decrying brutality over a strike that hardly gets a mention in the msm if it happens to Palestinians.
Arguments about who the missile was fired by, and the Ukrainian regime is about as honest as the apartheid state when it comes to that kind of thing, are all well and good but the hypocrisy of the coverage is absolutely glaring. The timing is a big part of it obviously, but still. Disgusting double standards.
Of course any mention of this will be shouted down with the usual idiotic cries of, "That's whataboutery!"
