I am really surprised by Max Blumenthal posting this, it's a truly ugly incident that does no credit to anyone, nor does it do Max credit for posting it. It's not an argument but a disagreeable slap in the face.

I guess one can ignore the mayhem that the Empire has caused around the world

Which is more gruesome and why should there not be a fight back? Perhaps you cannot handle Gaza civilians images being currently dished out. Any complaints there? ... grrr

If Prince was in prison, as he should be, there'd be no need to confront him as Max has done here.

So I wonder what “Blackwater guy” this would be.

Also, the revenge for what happened in that photo was the indiscriminate destruction of Falluja (twice) complete with deformed babies etc., which was considered so successful by the US that they repeated it in Raqqa then Mosul, and now we have something comparable in Gaza. So I wonder whether Max really has the final “put-down” here.

Revenge is a dish best served cold?

I know where my sympathies lie and it is not with the Blackwater goons hanging from that bridge.
I have no doubt they thought it would be pretty easy and fun to go over there and kill a few "ragheads" and get paid handsomely for the privilege.
That didn't work out too well for these mercenaries.

Falluja...major war crime complete with illegal weapons and the consequences of it will be felt for generations.

I also recall that before attacking all the infrastructure in Falluja, the US military first surrounded it to prevent anyone from leaving (without a retina scan).

So while history doesn’t exactly repeat itself, it does rhyme, so to speak.

"The Sacking of Fallujah" by Ross Caputi is a good book on the several sieges of Fallujah and the crimes committed therein.

Anna's archive has a copy (Library one seems to have issues).

I remember real reports from the time and they were horrific.
Yes, they surrounded the city and shot anyone trying to escape, even picking them off like fish in a barrel as they tried to swim to safetly across the Euphrates.

All the talk about religious fanatics in Iraq, well remember war criminal Lt Col Gary Brandl who led the first attack: "The enemy has got a face. He's called Satan. He's in Falluja. And we're going to destroy him."
