Hve to say I agree; this was the first Ritter video I've watched for a while and it wasn not very impressive. Lot's of name dropping, well if Steven Segal is a "name" instead of a fat fraud, and annecdotes about not much.

...no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party...So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.

I see it more as defiance than braggadocio ..

He’s been beaten down and, I feel, standing up and just answering criticisms he probably hears/reads a lot in comments by saying, to paraphrase, “Actually with me its not just [anonymous] ‘officials say’, I know the people in charge of the Kursk operation and I know how they think..”.

I feel this is not unreasonable commentary by Ritter, who has traveled extensively in Russia and is not just an armchair guy, to speak up like this. Moreover, this kind if commentary is likely made at some personal risk.

Having been an insider for so long, then a tolerated dissident, he's probably going through quite a bit of stress after finding that he had become an un-person, being threatened with imprisonment, financial ruin and noticing that his 'friends' and 'colleagues' were suddenly not available.... I think that a little understanding is called for.

He's one of the good guys in my book...never forget his staunch opposition the the invasion of Iraq and his efforts to expose the lies of the US hawks and their tosh about WMD.
He had a really hard time of it back then, too.

I agree he's one of the good guys and my point was about that one video which is undeniably content "lite". I also said I hadn't kept up with his output lately but what I saw of it before was good.

The linked video definitely wasn't and I think it's probably one of those "we need to put some content out to keep the channel going moments" and he's definitely owed some of those.
