Probably advised by his lawyers that he best not appear. On several interviews I've seen with him recently, post-terror-arrest, he has said he can't talk about certain things and had to not answer various questions.

Ok, this kind of stuff has been long in the making but these days it seems a bit like a snowball rolling down a hill and the further it rolls, the bigger and faster it is getting.
