US going on an execution (of potentially innocent people) frenzy

These two cases have been pretty heavily reported and when you look into them you think there's no way, even for this insane country that they will kill these people without further legal action, but apparently not.
First Freddie Owens. The person that admitted to doing the robbery/murder and had testified that Owens was his accomplice, recanted and signed a sworn testimony that Owens was NOT present at the crime. No matter. They killed him.
Then Marcellus Williams, who even the PROSECUTOR wanted to spare. There's an awful lack of evidence tying him to the murder scene (there's tons of DNA, blood, fingerprint, shoeprint evidence at the scene and none of it matches him), the chief of police mishandled the murder weapon and there's an unidentified male's DNA all over the place and on the murder weapon.
The prosectuor's office that put him on death row was recommending his conviction be VACATED. An astonishing state of affairs if you know anything about prosecutors. No matter. They killed him last night.
The list of potentially and almost certainly innocent people executed in that madhouse of a nation is growing.
Extra credit to the governor in the Owens case who said he would leave his decision on clemency right up until the last second, when the prisoner was already in the death chamber before calling the prison with his thumbs up or down. Just for extra savagery.
And of course, the right-wing judges on the "supreme" court all fell into line with their hand over their heart humming God Bless America when they could have stopped these injustices. Fuck all of them....no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party...So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.
