The Israelis originally claimed 300...

The FT is giving "...11 people and injured 108, the health ministry said on Saturday. " though it admits: " That is probably an undercount"

-I mean...let's get real. These are supposedly the numbers for apparently up to 6 entire ( & probably overcrowded with refugees) apartment blocks...reduced to absolute rubble in the centre of Beiruit?

-They have all got to be kidding right? Common sense dictates it MUST be a four figure number: at least a thousand probably several.

Can it be that the bombs were so powerful that the victims are simply shredded into small pieces, there are few bodies to count?

There must be lists...records of all the ( hundreds) of families living in these blocks...as far as I know there was no warning given. All those families must all be dead, right?

You are right ..

It seems next to impossible to estimate since all the people are in the rubble it seems, from my readings.

How they knew the minute by minute movement of the apparent target with presumably no electronic emissions.

However that happened, Hzb now seems to have an entirely clean slate at the top (after 35 years) to re-think their military strategy.

Not hard. There's a Maronite on every Beiruit street corner who believes he is really a European and amazingly enough also thinks Israel will be his friend.

In truth the Israelis will have them as second or third class citizens whist pumping out Lebanon's oil and gas for themselves and draining the Litani for the agriculture projects of the new "Eretz" Israel.

Very good, so how is it, then, that Nasrallah lasted 35 years?

Perhaps because the US hadn't supplied massive bunker bombs and given permission for possiblly thousands dead in collateral damage? Perhaps because timing is also important?

Otherwise it's self evident that there would be eyes on every movement. It can't be disputed that as above there's an entire anti Hezbollah constituency in Lebanon...not indeed another in the anti Assad Syrian refugees. Then there's the US / UK network of infiltration of the Lebanese military who also run various remote surveillance operations from Cyprus.

Perhaps you mean "Why now"?

Ointer's words were never more apt than the genocide seen in all its horror on some social media, but wiped clean on establishment media.

I guess it was always so; just even more blatantly and bloodily visible now.
