Additionally for interest I looked up the cost:
About $12 million a pop apparently. So... $144 million blown in a matter of minutes and no evidence that they actually even hit anything and with repeat performances of the rare boutique beauty for what they are worth ($144 million...!) unlikely.

The White House's 2025 defense budget cuts reduced the planned procurement of SM-3 IB missiles from 153 to zero over the next five years.

- So in fact they are going to be producing none at all.

I don't know how many a ship carries, but at that price and with such small numbers produced I'm assuming they may have used the full compliment. If they have indeed blown the lot then they will only have the b-rated stuf or poorer left to protect themselves.

- Looks then like what we have now are two US destroyers that not only have little ability to do what they were sent to do in protecting Israel but are themselves also likely sitting ducks for any ballistic attack.

I wonder how long sophisticated electronic equipment lasts before it needs to be refurbished? With such low rates of replacement, if any, how much of the US arsenal is reliable? I suppose one measure is the speed at which it is palmed off on the Ukronazis.
