...might have been Scots....talked about going on walks with his dad and his dad pointing out things like grass and flowers and stuff

The guy I am thinking of was totally urbanised. sayings like "Oh, look there is a flower....or look, there is some grass".
There were even some of the guy on youtube....sure someone on here remembers him"

Saw him do his mad thing in Glasgow many moons ago...wonderfully surreal & totaly hilarious.
Played him regularly to the kids too...one of who memorised whole Cutler skits.
