- Poor Caitlin. There must be a name for the malady which often manifests as the "Three four five or six dimensional chess plea":
When the morons tell you that it will all be understandable in the long term and the problem is actually your perception. That their hero or heroine might appear to be doing exactly the same shit as their opponent did...but there is doubtless behind it a cunning masterplan that lowly earthlings just aren't privy to:
Caitlin Johnstone @caitoz 3h Already getting Trumpers all over my replies telling me hawkish inclinations I'm seeing from the incoming administration aren't what they look like. They did this throughout his entire first term. Four fucking years of morons telling me the insane acts of warmongering I was witnessing were actually fine and good, or even brilliant strategic maneuvers against the deep state warmongers. Really not looking forward to another four years of this shit.

Lee Zeldin to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, saying the former New York congressman and gubernatorial candidate will focus on cutting regulations
Elise Stefanik would be nominated as the US ambassador to the United Nations in his administration. “She will be an incredible ambassador to the United Nations, delivering peace through strength and America First National Security policies!”, Trump said in a statement. He also pointed to her efforts against antisemitism on college campuses amid the war on Gaza.
Stephen Miller, an immigration hardliner, to be the deputy chief of policy in his new administration...............and a straight up white-supremacist although they don't mention that. He can be secretary of state for racist militias.
The US president-elect has asked US Representative Michael Waltz, a retired Army National Guard officer and war veteran, to be his national security adviser, multiple outlets reported, while the New York Times and Reuters said Florida senator Marco Rubio was favourite for secretary of state.
More on Waltz here. He doesn't sound like a demented war hawk at all...not a bit...
Sure, we have to wait and see what they actually do, but it looks like it hasn't taken long to throw all that anti-war stuff off the bus (or at last those wars, it looks like China is going to be escalated and probably a lot.
(Interestingly they still have Pompeo in the link title, but nowhere in the article so they obviously edited that out which shows they probably have no inside track on this). The corporate media are complicit in the Gaza genocide. Never forget what they did. Never forgive them for it.
Here's the new secretary of state demonstrating his empathy...
