The fact that Tim and his wife found humour in Prue's misunderstandings and lapses due to her condition were very uplifting and enlightening and not in the least derogatory or in poor taste. You felt the palpable bond between them in their grumpiness and quips when things went wrong, and it was a joy while you waited for Tim's "Bugger!" (or was it "Buggeration!") after yet another cock-up.

I saw part of one the other day along the Rideau Canal in Canada, quite picturesque.

Yep, those programmes were fun.
Always liked the Fawlty Locks bits...very often a bit of grumpiness and buggeration going on then, when Pru would tie a knot wrong or something!
Heart-warming to know they had a chance to do all that stuff together while they still had the time!

I shall be tooning in later to Canal Journeys as I often do...the Shannon-Erne Waterway, tonight.
