She's one of the least jaw-droppingly riduclous appointments so far. Hegseth and Kennedy in particular are utterly insane and I assume they are going to have trouble getting them confirmed.

Gaetz I think may have to step aside as there is a lot of ill will from plenty of republicans who know all about his whores and meth escapades that has been somewhat brushed under the carpet. They won't want to see him "get ahead" based purely on personal animus rather than the fact that he's completely unqualified and they will possibly make confirmation troublesome if not impossible.

Hegseth is completely unqualified for secdef and it's not even close. I don't know if they are just picking someone that has no chance of keeping the generals in line so the MIC has free rein to do what they like while he just reads the teleprompter (one of his few qualifications).

Had the BBC news on this morning as I was feeding the moggies, when they started on about Trumps new appointees with some ex intelligence bod, Lord something or other talking complete bollox.
Anyway, no matter how used to the bullshit and propaganda you get, the BBC can still surprise!
On Tulsi Gabbard, this dickhead said (and this is pretty much verbatim so I will put it in quotes) that:
