Quite a good analysis of what is happening in Syria..

In the video below, once the Syriana guy in the middle starts talking its worth a listen.
HTS took Aleppo because the Iranians took a cue and left to demonstrate their non-imperialistic bona fides (no permanent bases a la USA)
Iranians were replace by young Syrian conscripts.
CIA did their standard (tripoli) trick of announcing the city had fallen as a psyop then publishing a beheading video and young conscripts withdrew so as not to be beheaded. They tried a coup psyop in Damascus while Assad was in Moscow but it failed.
HTS aim is to surround Lebanon, isolate ooh-aah Hzbollah, and Erdogan wants Aleppo for 3.5 million Syrian refugees
Assad then given ultimatum to cut support for Hzb, Assad said “up yours”.
Now SAA puts a red line at Hama to prevent surrounding of Lebanon. Assad will have substantial gulf arab support this time to limit Turkish expansion, so is in quite a good position in the medium to long term.
I hadn't thought of the rapprochement with the Syrian govt, I was only thinking about the Russian alliance. This is an opportunity for the Allies to eliminate the Idlib enclave. The last working-class hero in England.

Yes, I guess they will at the very least shrink it, because Putin places a price tag on any aggression (‘every time you attack us we take [and keep] an extra bite’) but I also feel sure they will try to eliminate it.
