Nearly a year since I posted these comments Yorke made about the Ukraine war:

He gets it, just not when it comes to Arabs it seems. They're not 21stC Europeans, you see, not 'families just like ours' so he clearly doesn't feel anything has been 'diminished' by their wanton slaughter.
Thanks for that. It's easy to comment, especially after you framed it so nicely with the bold additions. Just a further point I'd like to make, if I may, is that is that Yorke is on another planet, not able to analyse this geopolitically. It's so simple, even I understand it. I could get angry, but, what's the point .. just another ahole.
