Hard to understand what's happening without considering that senior figures in Assad's military may have sold the country out...

I guess you could be referring to Iraq precedent. Meanwhile, that means that both RF and Iranian intelligence were comatose at the wheel.

Noting, it was seriously stupid to leave Idlib head-choppers to metastasise all this time.

The Russians won't have wanted to get caught flat-footed in Syria with the civil war on in Ukraine. The Seppoes have lots of places where they can cause trouble to Russia and where suppression rather than victory makes sense given the vital importance of Ukraine. We can all have hindsight but the Assad regime hasn't ended just yet.

They are getting hammered in the comments for supporting the "rebels". They had previously done some really good work on Gaza and other areas but this looks like a very bad development.

I thought Kevork was more succinct on the Useful Idiots interview, probably thanks to the carefully phrased questions and some editing.

Seems odd that Nema put that title on the Pepe Escobar video

as it is basically the exact opposite of what he said in the interview. The question mark is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

I gave up on Nima's titling moons ago and do my own when posting. Haiphong and others do it too. As far as I am concerned they don't need to do this click-bait business and rely on 'brand' so to speak. Ah well.
