I thought it was good but it's monumentally overrated by the fraudian crowd

and the director (Jordon Peele) was their flavour of the month for a year or so, getting Beyoncé-like adulation from all of their critics. His follow-ups have been less good although still decent.

I guess, different tastes, and it probly caught me at a receptive time with an itch for creepiness.

Update: It's not bad. See it once if you can. Don't pay money.

but they loved the "secretly racist but seemingly liberal" subtext because they got to look down their nose at "bad liberals" not like them, the chosen ones above all that sort of thing. For about a year after it came out no column was complete without some fawning reference to Jordan Peele or "Get Out" and it became almost as nauseating as their Beyoncé or Phoebe Waller Bridge hyperbole was before it.

I thought "Nope" and "Us" were decent but not as good, although the hype train was in full swing with "Us", for example:

Richard Brody of The New Yorker called the film a "colossal achievement," writing, "Us is a horror film—though saying so is like offering a reminder that The Godfather is a gangster film or that 2001: A Space Odyssey is science fiction.

yeh...nah. Still above average and worth seeing as said below. I think this thread has prodded me to watch "Get Out" again and see if I like it more now the fraudian wankers have stopped fluffing it.
