Keir Starmer won the 2024 general election by default thanks to the collapse of the Tory party, but it’s been downhill ever since, largely because he’s been trying to do the impossible on more than a dozen different fronts simultaneously.
You can’t create a sense of optimism about your leadership when you tell everyone that 'things will only get worse'.
You can’t control inflation without curbing capitalist profiteering.
You can’t fix Britain’s crumbling infrastructure without removing the debilitating infestation of parasitical privatisation profiteers.
You can’t create economic growth by attacking the living standards of the less well off.
You can’t even try to reverse Britain’s economic decline without replacing austerity ruination with investment economics.
You can’t fix the public finances by economically sanctioning the sick and disabled, when you’re using a sieve to collect taxes from the mega-rich.
You can’t build a better future with depraved policies that condemn hundreds of thousands of kids to destitution and limited opportunities.
You can’t pose as a morally upstanding leader when you rake in cash and freebies from dodgy donors, and endorse a livestreamed genocide.
You can’t pretend you’ve cleaned up the Labour Party when you appoint a friend of the world’s most notorious child sex trafficker as your ambassador to the United States.
You can’t beat the extreme-right by copying and legitimising their xenophobic rhetoric.
You can’t expect anyone to trust a word you say when you keep ripping up all of your pledges and promises.
You can’t deal with the housing crisis without building way more social homes, and confronting the exploitative slumlord class (including the ones in your own party).
You can’t fix the NHS by letting even more privatisation profiteers run amok in it.
You can’t blame big bad Vlad Putin for excessive energy bills when everyone knows you’re letting the private energy companies rake in obscene profits.
You can’t expect to win elections when you use your power to repeatedly attack pensioners, and enact policies that your party’s traditional voters absolutely hate.
You can’t pretend that everything is going well when you’ve attempted multiple re-launches already.
You can’t fool people into thinking you’re doing a good job by saying you can’t think of a single mistake you’ve made, when you’ve become the human incarnation of the Sideshow Bob rake scene.
You can’t turn around your failing fortunes when you’re such a thin-skinned tyrant that you punish, marginalise, and expel anyone who dares tell you where you’ve been going wrong.
It’s not just that most of these things are exercises in futility, it’s the fact that Starmer and the horrible Labour right goons he’s surrounded himself with are completely out of touch with reality, and a vicious bunch of bastards to boot. The last working-class hero in England.

When Elon Musk opened up the US Treasury payments system to a bunch of unknown tech dweebs from his own private companies, some journalists decided to have a look into who these people actually are.
It wasn’t long before an investigative journalist called Katherine Long found out that one of them used to operate a vile Twitter account that spewed anti-Indian hate; promoted eugenics; called for both Israel and Palestine to be wiped off them map; and said that "you could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity".
It wasn’t actually that difficult to trace ownership of the account back to Marko Elez (25) given that he’d originally set it up in his own name and had previously used it to brag about working for Elon Musk companies, before he changed the handle to nullllptr at some point.
Given that his history of racist and extreme-right views was so easy for a journalist to trace, it seems there’s been basically no vetting procedure on all the Musk employees that are being given free rein to lock federal employees out of their own buildings and trawl through highly sensitive public data banks.
Elez ended up resigning from Elon Musk’s made-up DOGE department, but Musk is frothing with rage that one of his minions has been publicly outed as the racist little shit-head that he is.
He’s responded by going after the journalist who linked Elez to his racist Twitter account, and demanding that Katherine Long is immediately fired from the Wall Street Journal.
Musk has stated his intention to reinstate Elez, so apparently it’s fine to be racist about Indians and promote white supremacism and eugenics, but the journalist who exposed this guy’s sickening views is the "cruel and disgusting person" who "should be fired immediately"!
On the face of it demanding that a journalist is fired for doing journalism might seem to be an odd thing for a self-declared champion of free speech to be doing, but that’s because the right-wing interpretation of free speech is very different to any normal person’s definition.
What they’re talking about when they invoke free speech is their own right to say racist and bigoted things; praise fascists and fascist policies; post and promote absolute lies; incite lawlessness; whip up hate against minorities; or say any filth that comes into their warped little minds.
Right-wing hate-mongering and lies are protected speech as far as they’re concerned, but woe betide anyone who uses their own free speech to highlight and criticise what right-wingers have said, or even worse, promote left-wing or socially liberal policies.
They want us sacked; our social media accounts repressed by the algorithm; our books removed from libraries; and our presence banned from public events.
They’ve got absolutely no shame about their hypocrisy either, because they don’t even see it as hypocrisy.
That’s because they don’t just think that right-wingers should be allowed to say whatever filth they like, they consider this kind of speech so protected that anyone who tries to expose it for what it is needs to be driven out of public discourse.
As far as they’re concerned, their own free speech is so important that they have to take away ours to prevent us from even critiquing it!The last working-class hero in England.
