It's OK with me that Democracy Now! output includes someone like Tariq. I admired him in those heady days in 70's etc.

I thought that his theory of the radical centre was wrongheaded, that they were far right shites hiding behind easy economic growth. Ending the crypto- part of crypto-fascist isn't a move to the right, it's the emperor's new gun.

Radical centre sounds about right .. now. Whether someone was hiding behind all that is debatable. Imho, at the time he was right with his critique. What happened later is less important, in a sense .. for me. He is correct in his analysis at the mo imo.
