I liked Mearsheimer and Blumenthal but the more I hear Doctorow the less I rate him and the more he sounds like a MAGA cultist when it comes to donny scumbag. His lauding of Witkoff as a more experienced diplomat because he's a businessman was ridiculous. I think he's right on Zelensky, as I posted a couple of days ago, but whenever it comes to MAGA he has the most rose-tinted view of everything. I see plenty of the comments are picking it up too.

I'm making no judgement on Kellogg and he could have been the best diplomat in history and it wouldn't have mattered when the administration was determined not to interrupt the slaughter.
My point is that the idea that Witkoff is a better diplomat than a lot of the state department (can't remember his exact phrasing) because he is/was a property developer was silly and demonstrates his tendency to always rose-tint anything connected to or done by the Mump administration.
The "ceasefire" had nothing to do with his skill as a negotiator; it was an ultimatum delivered by a messenger. They could have sent me or you to do it.
Anyway, it's not important so we'll agree to differ and I will probably skip his segments and watch the others. Johnson's another one that does this. Quite a few of them are, as they admitted in the recent roundtable, trying for positions in the admin, so they clearly aren't going to call anything out even if it warrants it.The corporate media are complicit in the Gaza genocide.
