It just bonkers that one side in a dispute between themselves can have a "remarkable breakthrough" that benefits only themselves and call it a "Peace plan" without any contact with the party they want to make peace with.

The obvious corollary for such a unilateral plan can only be unilateral action.

- Ukraine should cease fire by itself likewise: I'm all in favour.

Russia will string them along by supporting a ceasefire then negotiating it forever …
