"This is NOT a repair it is qu: re: replacement. I am inimical to all sorts of outside influences (I have hyper UV sensitivity) even to the extent of using no WiFI (no smart meter or WiFi signal -I use Ethernet-) and would very much prefer not to use americium containing smoke detectors. Photo-electric detectors are at least as good (better in some circumstances) and inexpensive (prices are comparable), neither do they release low-level radiation when they are incinerated (although the plastic is still a problem). I, therefore, ask whether it is possible for either you to provide, or to provide myself, photo-electric smoke detectors for this property and/or to consider (for the reasons I've outlined) making photo-electric detectors standard?"

How to make a relatively harmless (when intact) low-level rad and plastic device into a mini-hand grenade! Burn it you wh**esholes!!! Ha! Along with the dioxins & furans produced when the plastic is so philanthropically re-refined.....
