Some decent stuff...however, I thought the last guy on who said he writes and teaches about media sounded like some first year A Level media studies student who's just discovered there might be a problem with bias!
Sounds like he's never heard of Chomsky or maybe he has but never bothered to study him because the media "he writes and teaches about" says he's a controversial malcontent who should stick to linguistics and keep his nose out politics!

I didn't get that impression from Dr. Alford, Lecturer - Politics, Languages & International Studies

Matthew Alford's PhD thesis applied Noam Chomsky's Propaganda Model to
contemporary Hollywood and his subsequent research similarly concerns the
representation of Western power.

Dr. Alford, a Fellow of the HEA, has taught Film & Media, International
Relations, and British & American politics to postgraduate level. In 2020, his
presentation The Propaganda Model Explained with Coffee reached a regional final
for Cheltenham Festival's FameLab, in which researchers compete to present their
work accessibly.

Dr. Alford co-produced the film Theaters of War (2022), which revealed how the
Pentagon and CIA have rewritten thousands of Hollywood movies & network TV
shows. It is primarily based on his co-authored book National Security Cinema:
The Shocking New Evidence of Government Control in Hollywood (2017) and draws on
archival and interview-gathering trips to Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

Sounds like I will have to look the fellow's works up...I have come across "Theatres Of War" before and that was very good.
Maybe I'm just too jaded these days to appreciate what's being said sometimes.

on the same subject admittedly.

"The Writer with No Hands" is bad though. I gave it a bad review on amazon and he commented, throwing his toys out of the pram. Review's still there, comments have been lopped.
