Dear Darren As you will see from the forwarded I am having problems obtaining a bus pass. This is a very serious issue for me and currently I am being hit hard financially, I do not want to have to stop accessing therapy or socialising because I can't afford it (and I only socialise about twice a month). If you can only address this as a funding-issue re: policy within govt. then at least the subject will have been aired. If you can help in any way please advise. Thank you.

Dear Nicola Sorry I fail to understand, the application form is clear, a doctor may submit a report and as I have stated both of my previous applications have been supported in this way with simple proof of PIP receipt. As my applications have clearly been accepted in the past I must insist that you justify your assertion that a doctor's report will not be sufficient. I am still in receipt of PIP for physical & mental health problems (worsening), and I require my buss pass to access both therapy and social contact (Spectrum CIL, October Books, UNITE Community). my doctor feels that my mental health concerns are of equal weight in this regard with my considerable physical problems (incl. COPD and osteo-arthritis) I will not be able to go to the swimming pool regularly either something which my G.P and M.H nurse feel is now vital (esp. as I get older) to both my physical and mental well-being. If the authority continues to demure I will be forced to open a complaint, something I don't want to do as already have far too much of such paperwork to deal with and I have a stress-related self-harm condition. I am referring to Steps to Well-being again this year and will probably need to be able to travel in order to access the therapy (I regularly visit the podiatrist too). This is why my G.P is more than willing to provide a report. If you are unable to deal with this please escalate my issue and do so asap, please understand I need my bus pass. Thank you.
yours sincerely G.K.Hales

Good morning,
Thank you for your email.
As per my colleagues email unfortunately, we are unable to accept a PIP yearly update letter as evidence to support your application. If submitting PIP, please submit your award letter including the mobility points page (eligibility points can be seen on the attached information sheet).
Similarly, we are also unable to accept medical questionnaires that are out of date, we would need a recently signed and dated document.
I have attached the documentation that can be provided to support your application, which we will need to see before we can proceed with your application.
Kind Regards
Nicola

I would be eligible because I am prescribed dihydrocodeine for pain and It would be dangerous for me to drive whilst taking this medicine.

Good morning
The last medical questionnaire was in May 2023. I will check through all the paperwork received in the office tomorrow, however if the evidence from your GP had been received your renewal would have been processed by now.
To renew with PIP, we would need to see your full points letter confirming how many points have been awarded for each category and how long for. We cannot accept Yearly Update letters.

Hello Debbie
I gave my G.P an SAE this year to submit a new report & the surgery informed me that it has been actioned. You must have one older than 2019 though because my last 18 month entitlement only ended Feb 17 2025. I know the same surgery I am approaching now sent you the previous report 19-20 months ago. Please see attached re: PIP. I have sent this before. Appreciate all asap now as I am starting to suffer financially without my pass. Thank you.

Thank you for your e-mail.
Could you tell us how you submitted your PIP award as I can find any e-mails relating to you this year.
The Doctors report you mention is attached to your account and is a medical questionnaire dated 2019.

Dear Smart Cities

Ugh, what a nightmare, f*ing bean counters... my commiserations fwiw (nm)
Sickening...I know a little of what you speak after going through utter bullshit with the powers that be when my sister had a kidney transplant and then a bit later with her terminal cancer. Like getting blood from a stone and a total disregard for people who are suffering...just ignore their condition and drown them in bureaucracy and time consuming paperwork bollox. Fuckers.
luckily it turns out it's a bureaucratic misunderstanding (this time) they want a medical questionnaire filled out to accompany the report (everything having changed when they restricted the number of people on PIP that could have one) ..most G.Ps will charge for this service..I've paid £30 in the past....Smart Cities inform me that the questionnaire could be filled out by any medical professional...so they are sending me another questionnaire...if they accepted PIP receipt I'd have the d**n pass now...I've been without it since Feb because the system is so torturous & fraught with peril...I naturally assumed that they'd changed the goal-posts again. All this when my PIP is being reviewed (I will need to send a supporting letter I fear, luckily my advocate prepared the ground-work for that during our telephone appt.) and the HOS investigator requires a response (they made me wait well over a year) to their initial correspondence...
