You would think someone would spot a gap in the market in debunking these stories and then debunking again when they reference the debunked story as if it was truth after waiting for a period that they think will wash everyone's memory.

This is what they do. Blare the lie. Keep blaring the lie, never admit the lit, then when the truth becomes too noisy back off and stop reporting it.
