Israel has launched an attack on Iran.

Tel Aviv’s defence minister has announced a “special situation” and confirmed Israel had carried out an attack.

Iranian state media reported an explosion north east of Tehran.

Witness reported plumes of smoke over the capital.

Israel has declared a state of emergency across the entire country.

Israel Katz, the defence minister, said schools would be closed in the country on Friday.

There was no immediate word on what was struck...

Secretary of state Marco Rubio said the US was not involved in the strikes. “Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defence.”

I'm disappointed by the Trump presidency. I don't believe he is a sheep-dipped globalist stooge, hence the relentless attacks on him by the deep state.
I expected an Empire president, ultimately signing off on the routine violence and class war of the system.
However i did hope that we would see some meaningful counterattacks against the cia, fbi and their corporate allies alongside the usual empire moves.
We've seen a flash here and there but i'm not sure how you would offset a genocide.
Against gaza even his ginger steps back over ukraine look more like dithering than principle.

I agree that Israel wants to draw out usage of the most modern missiles, which perhaps were not used in the prior two barrages.

Russia may be providing strategic defensive advice, mirroring what the US is doing on the other side.
