The layout was all over the place. It seems to happen on the weekends (on my laptop) and affects the substack sites I read. The Israeli government minister Amichay Eliyahu has said that Israel is "racing against time for Gaza to be wiped out" and that the ultimate objective is that "all of Gaza will be Jewish".
It’s absolutely clear to see that the extremist Israeli government are panicking that their ethnic cleansing campaign could be stopped, and their desired annexation of the whole of Gaza prevented.
The tide does slowly seem to be turning, largely out of revulsion at the Israel’s depraved starvation tactics against civilians, and their use of food aid as bait in human traps where they’ve already massacred over a thousand desperately hungry, unarmed civilians.
Piers Morgan has turned; the rabidly right-wing Express newspaper ran a front page calling for an end to Israel’s starvation tactics the other day; the genocide-supporting Israeli lobby are calling for James O’Brien to be cancelled over Israel-critical comments he made on LBC; and even members of Starmer’s genocide-complicit government seem to be having second thoughts about the atrocities they’ve been enabling.
The Israelis are panicking, and admitting that they’re in a race against time, because they know that their stated intention to erase Palestinians from Gaza could be prevented if the tide of global opinion turns far enough against them.
It’s not like the Israelis have ever hidden their genocidal intentions. South Africa’s submission to the International Criminal Court included scores of explicitly genocidal quotes from Israeli politicians, military personnel, and media figures.
There’s a website listing even more of these explicitly genocidal Israeli comments too. Here’s a small selection of the genocidal stuff they’ve been saying, and western media has been steadfastly ignoring.
The reason so many people are unaware that Israel’s actions have nothing to do with "the hostages" and everything to do with genocidal appropriation of Palestinian territory is that western news outlets, and western politicians have steadfastly refused to report what Israeli politicians, military personnel, and media figures say to the Israeli public when they think the rest of the world isn’t listening.
Not only are they committing genocide and heinous war crimes on a daily basis, they outright admit that their objective is the complete elimination of Palestinians from their own land, so it can be stolen and absorbed into their racist apartheid colonial state.
