and who can blame him? To be honest I always thought the genocidal apartheid state would take him out but he's managed to get out thankfully.

Familiarity with the atrocity does tend to dampen the horror but then you see or hear someone summarise what's been going on and it jerks you back to quite how beyond insane the world is at the moment.I hope I'm alive to see when people are held to account for this.
